Mental Health Crisis Resources

In need of someone immediate to talk to? Here is a list of mental health helplines with counselors who can speak to you in the case of an urgent matter:

  • 988 Suicide and Crises Hotline // free, confidential, 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources, for you or your loved ones 
  • SAMHSA's National Helpline // free, confidential, 24/7, 365-day-a-year treatment referral and information service for individuals and families facing mental and or substance abuse disorders
  • Strong Hearts Native Helpline // 24/7 safe, anonymous, confidential domestic and sexual violence hotline for Native Americans and Alaska Natives, offering culturally appropriate support and advocacy
  • The Steve Fund // Young people of color can connect with a trained crisis counselor 24/7
  • NAMI Helpline // a free, nationwide peer-support service providing information, resource referrals and support to people living with a mental health condition, their family members and caregivers, mental health providers and the public. Mon-Fri 10am-10pm EST.

 

*Please note: Some crisis line workers are mandated to report calls concerning suicide to the police. If this is a concern, we encourage you to first ask about their reporting policies before sharing information.
